Although the shirt appears well made, the sizing was disappointing. I selected the classic fit specifically because I expected it would have a generous cut. However, I found the body of the shirt to be somewhat narrow, even though I ordered a medium because it encompassed my chest size i.e., 40 inches. (Inexplicably, the description of a size medium contradicted the size chart: the latter indicated a medium had a 38-40 inch chest size, while the former stated that a medium had a 46 inch chest size, which seemed improbable). The sleeves also were a bit narrow, although the length was fine.
I considered exchanging the medium for a large, but if the size chart is accurate the sleeves on a large would have been too long. One can only imagine how even more narrow the “trim fit” version of the shirt must be if what I ordered is considered a “classic fit.”

‘Medium’ is the size, that is my regular fit. On this occasion the medium is much too tight across the upper chest. In this particular model I will need a large size, to achieve a in comfortable fit. I will therefore need to return the product.
Also the shading on the received product was much brighter than the shading worn by your model.

I really can’t believe how you have completely messed up your fit in the Oxford shirts and also polo shirts,I have tried custom fit,slim fit,classic fit and non works anymore,I have your polos and oxfords from 8years to 12 years ago and the fit is nothing compared to the mess you make now,as much as I have been loyal to your brand,I can’t seem to buy shirts from you lately,I am ready to ship one of my old polo Ralph Lauren shirts to you if you need it to research so that you can get back to original fit.

What can I say, it’s the classic white Oxford, dress it up or down it goes with everything and when you wear polo people notice, great quality & great fit, I’m 5’9″ 177 athletic build & it fits me great, I’ve worn polo for years and will continue.

Not the same as earlier! The fabric is much coarser and more open in its weave. I have purchased at least three white, long-sleeved. RL button down shirts , possibly four, and there is a definite difference in the quality of the fabric! Too much headache to send it back! Probably my last online purchase!
